Property Description

Contemporary family home in the northern area of Canberra known as Gungahlin. Your guest room is part of our home and has a QS bed, air-conditioning, coffee and tea making facilities, small refrigerator, all linen provided, milk, shortbreads and chocolates as well as a complimentary port night cap.
A full breakfast is included in the reasonable tariff and I have a four star AAAT rating. (out of a possible five) I have operated since 1997 and can offer information about local attractions, restaurants and leisure activities.
Canberra is the Capital city of Australia so our Parliament and national buildings and attractions are all here and within a 20 minute drive.

Things To Do

There are many attractions to visit in Canberra including the War Memorial, Art Gallery, Parliament House, Questacon and the National Museum of Australia. We have two golf courses nearby and many restaurants and a boutique shopping centre. Cockington Green Miniature English Village and the George Harcourt Inn are five minutes away. My home backs onto a reserve area which is perfect for that early morning walk with a rewarding view from the top of the hill. The local area is famous for its wineries and all within a short drive. Poachers Pantry is the ideal place for lunch in the midst of the wine country. Transport can be arranged.

Rooms


		Main Guest Room QS bed with new Latexco mattress, pillows galore and an electric blanket for the cooler nights. Your own coffee and tea making facilities as well as little treats like chocolates and shortbreads. There are new timber floors and a small deck with views to the hills. Through the walk thru robe into the ensuite there is a double shower, and all the toiletries you will need for your visit. Two fluffy white bathrobes complete the picture of your home away from home!	Room Rate My flat rate is $100 per single or couple per night including a full or continental breakfast, whichever you prefer. Ask about my rates and facilities for children.

Directions

In the northern area of Canberra in between the Barton Highway and the Federal Highway. (the roads coming in from Sydney and Melbourne. Take the Curran Drive turn off from the Barton Highway, Horse Park Drive turn off from the Federal Highway. Please note Horse Park Drive is as yet incomplete (the map has it already completed) and you need to turn off it into Gundaroo Drive and then Mirrebei Drive.
