| Only 15 km from Annecy and 1 km from the Lake, close to all cultural activities and sports, La Grange de Julie is a peaceful house in a garden, with spacious common areas, a big open fireplace, a piano … all the warmth and charm of a private family home.
The rooms (each with ensuite bath) are comfortable, with a mixture of heirloom furniture and modern touches – and books all over the place (mostly in English : Sylvie's mother is American)

Things To Do
|
| Lathuile is situated just above the South end of the "Lac d'Annecy"- the purest lake in Europe -, with Annecy at the other end, 15 km away.
Sport lovers will find a large choice of activities all year around. In winter, skiing or snowboarding, if preferred, is just 20 km away; the rest of the year, you can enjoy hiking (you can leave from our house), cycling (a cycling trail all the way to Annecy is 1 km away), paragliding (the Col de la Forclaz in front of our windows is a well-known spot), golf (two golf-clubs are less than 10 km from here),… and in summer, all the water sports : the lake is 23°, and perfect for bathing and sailing, or, higher up, canyoning,…
Annecy is a enchanting historical town –and also an artistic center and a lively place : festivals of all sorts, concerts, sport competitions… succeed each other almost all year around.
Very many restaurants are to be found all around the lake –from simple local food to "three star" Chef's cooking.

This room has a French window that opens on to the garden to the West. The walls are painted white and hung with pastel water-colors (painted in the 1940s by an American Great-Grandmother), the ground is tiled in soft gray, there is a double bed and a mahogany desk. It is a very separate, private room, and also the only one we sometimes accept pets in. This room has a private ensuite bath. | Room Rate

Directions

| * By road :
From Lyon or Geneva, leave motorway A-42 at the "Annecy Sud" exit then take the direction of Albertville by R.N. 508 (the lake is on your left side). When you get right at the other end of the lake (called «Bout du Lac», 5 km after Duingt), turn right in direction of Lathuile till you get to the roundabout. Turn right at the roundabout (route de Chevilly), la GRANGE DE JULIE is 450 mètres (n°450) further on, on your right again.
* The nearest train station is in Annecy (15 km). It is possible to rent a car at the station – then follow the above indications. It is also possible to take a bus from the station.
* airports : Geneva is 64 km away, Lyon Saint-Exupéry 142 km.
