The Cormorant Guesthouse is situated on the edge of a lagoon and offers Bed & Breakfast accommodation in a choice of 5 african-styled rooms and breathtaking views from the sun decks.

All rooms are spacious and individually furnished en-suite bedrooms or double rooms, equipped with tea and coffee trays and satellite television.
Guests may relax on one of our sun decks which are positioned on three levels, offering unique views.

Breakfast is served in our beautiful palm garden, and for dining out, there are nearby exclusive restaurants. Particularly recommended is the Serendipity, one of the Top-100 Restaurants in South Africa.

Things To Do

Wilderness, situated about fifty kilometers from Knysna, a forty minutes pleasant drive through what is often referred to as the Garden Route "Lake District", is a nature lover’s paradise best known for its beaches washed by the rolling waves of the Indian Ocean, lakes, placid lagoon and lush indigenous forests. Inland only a few kilometers from the sea, the ‘Outeniqua Mountains’ form an impressive backdrop. Walks along the beach with swimming in the warmer months are a must for the day tripper. In the afternoon take a quiet stroll along the boardwalk of the Wilderness Lagoon or enjoy the Garden Route from a mountain biker’s or paraglider’s angle. Two spectacular view sites are “Map of Africa” situated above Wilderness and “Dolphins Point” above the mouth of the Kaaimans River. Furthermore we will provide you with a tailor-made activity plan just for you!

Baby Leopard Suite
It is a beautiful spacious room, luxurious and tastefully decorated with direct access to our palm garden. The Baby Leopard Suite has a bath and shower en-suite as well as a walk-in cupboard.

Lagoon View Room
Enjoy panoramic views over the lagoon and the sea from this room. It has a bathroom with shower en-suite.

Leopard Room
This room has a bathroom with shower en-suite. Leopard room is also our family room as it offers a comfortable bed sofa for the children in addition. You can enter it through a separate entry.

The Lion Room is a big room with its own entry in front of the house. It is a semi self-catering unit with a small kitchenette providing a fridge and dishes. Furthermore there is a bath and shower en-suite.

Directions

- Coming from George, follow the N2 to Wilderness and
Knysna
- Turn left into Wilderness at the Caltex Garage
- Follow the road until you reach a T-junction in front of the
Wilderness Resort Hotel
- Turn right into Waterside Road, (road sign shows Cormorant
Guest House) and drive ca. 800 meters along the lagoon
- The Cormorant Guest House is situated on your left, a light
yellow double storey house at the corner of Waterside Road
and Crescent Road.
- Parking Spots will be provided in front of the house
