| Located on the spectacular Laguna of Seven colors, Amigo’s B&B Bacalar guest rooms all have a terrace with lake view, private bathroom, AC, ceiling fans and remote control TV and choice of king or single beds. The large veranda overlooking the Laguna Bacalar is where your breakfast is served. In the communal area you will find a CD stereo system, refrig, microwave, blender, coffee pot and toaster for your use, as well as High Speed Wireless DSL internet. Kayaks are available for rental to explore the lake. A long 50 meter pier extends into the lake for easy access into the clear fresh water lake. On site parking area. Families and groups welcome. While in Bacalar visit the old Spanish fort, the Fort of San Felipe overlooking the laguna or perhaps a swim in the large Cenote Azul. The impressive stucco masks of the infrequently visited Mayan ruins of Kohunlich are a short car ride from Amigo’s B&B. A visit to the Museum of Mayan Culture in Chetumal, the state capital is a must while staying at Bacalar. The Belize border is a half hour drive away. Bacalar the perfect place to stop and spend a few days while traveling around the Yucatan area. |

Directions

| heading south from Cancun take highway # 307 to the first bacalar exit, exit here, this now becomes the main street in town, go 6 city blocks, and turn left toward the lake. Follow this road to the lake shore drive, passing the impressive Spanish fort to your left. At the lake shore drive, turn right and head south along the lakeshore blvd till come to Amigo's. 1.5 km from the fort. If coming from the south of Bacalar, take highway 307 north to the Cenote Azul exit. Get off here and follow lakeshore drive to B&B, about 3.8 km north of cenote azul exit. |
