| The country road winds through farms and fields to De Hoek, graciously situated in a serene setting in the Magaliesburg, an hour from Johannesburg and Pretoria. In this peaceful valley, a haven of tranquil gardens surrounds the impressive sandstone buildings and here, Michael and Michelle and the De Hoek team have created an exceptional environment. The vast reception leads to the sitting room and the dining room which opens onto terraces. Upstairs are four bedrooms each with their own special view. Sixteen beautifully appointed spacious and prestige bedrooms overlook the Magalies River. The house and garden provide perfectly for entertainment purposes, especially weddings and special occasions. De Hoek is also an ideal setting for conferences and team building exercises.
Breakfast in the conservatory, or out in the gardens under shady bush-willows, karees and wit stinkhouts, a formal lunch or dinner in the dining room with all the French doors open in Summer, or a roaring fire in Winter. Michael is passionate about food, and delights guests with his presentation and quality. Dinners at De Hoek are refined, elegant affairs involving the best of French cuisine with influences of the Mediterranean and Swiss. De Hoek boasts a good selection of wines from their small but well-stocked cellar.

Directions
|
| • Guests have to get onto the R28/N14 (Main highway between Krugersdorp & Pretoria)
• Travel on the R28/N14 towards Krugersdorp until you reach a robot (Sasol Garage)
• At the 4 way stop, turn right onto the R47 and travel for about 10km until you reach a T-junction. At the T-junction there will be an Oaktree Zenex Garage – turn right onto the R563
• Travel for about 20km on the R563 until you see the 2nd Magaliesburg/Bekker School sign board. Turn left at this sign
• Travel for about 8km until you see the boards Bekker School & De Hoek Country House – turn right
• Travel until you reach the stop sign, turn left – travel for about 2km and you will see our gate on you left hand side
