fully equipped kitchen with tea, coffee, hot chocolate, fruit & biscuits, dressing room with a separate shower & toilet.
TV with DVD, CD & Video player.
We also offer alternative accommodation upstairs in either our queen or twin room.
The apartment looks out onto our garden which features roses, a hibiscus bush, rhododendrons & azaleas.
Enjoy the visits from the bird life - tuis flit through the trees, bellbirds with their songs & occasionally there are wood pigeons & wekas.
Russell & Rosalie are experienced hosts & enjoy meeting people.
Russell is retired (an ex secondary teacher & long haul bus driver) & now enjoys boating, fishing & gardening. Rosalie has her own book-keeping business & is an enthusiastic quilter, loves cooking & some gardening.
Russell & Rosalie from Grandvue Bed & Breakfast have been hosting guests for over 12 years. In that time they have learnt to listen to the needs of their guests when it comes to suggestions for activities & attractions to see & do in the Picton, Marlborough area. For people who enjoy water activities, hiking, great scenery or sampling the local wines Picton is a great place for your holiday.

| Activities cater for all ages & levels of fitness with gentle walks around the Picton area to The Queen Charlotte Track which ranges from a popular day walk, returning to the comfort of your bed at Grandvue, to walking the entire track in 4 to 6 days covering 71 kms.For those wishing to combine a walk with the magic of a boat trip the options are many & varied. Dolphin Watch Ecotours offer a wide choice, a visit to Motuara Island for a nature lover’s walk, see the marine wildlife while travelling in comfort on their catamaran, experience a birdwatchers expedition or swim with the dolphins. Go kayaking with Marlborough Sounds Adventure Company who also hire mountain bikes should you wish to explore the many tracks around the area. For a more leisurely stroll around Picton include a trip to the Edwin Fox Maritime Museum to visit the 9th oldest scow in the world, the Seahorse World Aquarium stocked with fish from the Sounds & the Picton Community Museum. |
