Housed in an 1880's Greek Revival mansion, we have two-room suites and cottage outfitted with 300 ct linens, Turkish/Egyptian cotton spa towels, aromatherapy spa soaps and shampoos, wireless internet access, off street parking and offer a full hot gourmet breakfast.

Asian Suite
The Asian Suite is a tribute to the ancient kingdoms of Korea, China and Japan. The serene blue walls of the bedroom compliment the dark rich furnishings and the Chinese Tensing carpets that cover the heart of pine floors. 300 count cotton bedding, a down comforter and an assortment of pillows pamper you. A collection of Oriental Art adorns the walls.

The Sitting room is a more casual place to contemplate your latest New Orleans adventure. It is furnished with a full size sleeper sofa, lacquered bamboo chairs and entertainment armoire. From the sitting room there is access to the rear gallery of the house that overlooks the courtyard. Guests are asked to use the rear gallery for smoking. The bathroom of the Asian Suite features an antique claw-foot bathtub and water closet.
Room Rate
Season Rates: $125-$150 per night Double Occupancy. Event Rates: Mardi Gras, Jazz fest, Sugar Bowl and Essence Festival, Southern Decadence. $200 -$250 per night Double Occupancy. Third person add $25 per night. Two night minimum stay during regular season. Four or five night minimum stay for Mardi Gras, Jazz fest, Essence Festival and other special events. Three night minimum for Sugar Bowl.
Eurasian Suite
The Eurasian Suite consists of the Egyptian and the Middle East rooms. It offers two adjoining bedrooms with almost 600 square feet of luxurious space. It has access to the rear gallery of the house that overlooks the courtyard. Guests are asked to use the rear gallery for smoking.

The Egyptian Room with its rich terra cotta walls, is decorated with a collection of Egyptian lithographs. The highly carved "Plantation Bed" (European Standard) originates from Belgium and dates to the late 1800's. It has a custom made down comforter and is piled high with assortment of pillows. An antique oriental rug competes the decor.

A rich, hand embroidered antique Turkish tapestry greets you in the Middle East Room. It has a queen size bed piled high with down and fiber filled pillows and has Edward VIII heirloom pieces. Lithographs from the Middle East complement the walls. Handmade oriental rugs cover the highly polished heart of pine floors.

The Eurasian Suite is suitable for a family or two men /two women who travel together but need separate beds. If guests are using both bed rooms for sleeping, please note that it is necessary to walk through the Middle East Room from the African Room to get to the bathroom.

The spacious private bath has Victorian wainscoting, an antique claw-foot tub outfitted with a shower and has black, white, and 24 carat gold floor tiles.

European Suite
The European Suite is our premier accommodation and was once the Master's Quarters of the house. Your private gallery, overlooking the historic Esplanade, is accessed from the luxurious sitting room. It is appointed with a comfortable sleeper sofa that opens to a queen size bed. An impressive trumeau mirror hangs over the fireplace. A pair of club chairs , cocktail ottoman and writing desk finish the rooms furnishings. On the walls are a collection of lithographs and artwork depicting the owner's travels throughout Europe. Both sitting room and the bedroom have 12-foot ceilings and retain original fireplace mantles and ceramic tile hearths. Guests are asked to use the gallery for smoking.

The European Suite's spacious bedroom is painted a rich and romantic "Opera House Red", a popular color found in many historical New Orleans homes. The massive king-size bed is dressed with 300-count cotton bedding, feather pillows, a rich jacquard duvet and a custom upholstered headboard. Ample fabric-draped bedside tables, an upholstered bench, and a clothes valet complete the decor. The spacious bathroom is original to the house and has wainscoting, an antique marble sink and a claw foot tub outfitted with a shower.

North American Cottage
The North American Cottage is a located in the courtyard with direct access to our new hot-tub and garden. The cottage pre-dates the main house and was moved to the property from a nearby plantation to be used as the construction foreman's quarters while the house was being built. It was designed as a quiet, secluded get-a-way and to accommodate our physically challenged friends.

In contrast to the main house, the cottage celebrates the "New World". It is furnished with classic American Shaker style furnishings and James J. Audubon lithographs adorn the walls. The queen size bed is outfitted with high quality bedding and is piled high with an assortment of pillows to pamper you. The private porch over looks the garden and beckons you to sit, relax and enjoy the atmosphere after a hard day of sightseeing in the French Quarter. The cottage boasts a small mini-bar with refrigerator, microwave and a gourmet one-cup coffee maker.

The bathroom is accessed through antique cypress French doors with frosted glass inserts and the dark, rich cypress walls evoke an era gone by. It is equipped with a two person, walk-in / roll-in, multi-head shower .

Directions

From the West/Airport: Follow Interstate10 (I-10) east towards New Orleans central business district. Watch the I-10 signs as you must veer to the right to stay on I-10 about 13 miles from the airport (Xavier University will be on your right). Once in the central business district continue on I-10 east to Slidell. Take the Esplanade Avenue exit (236A) on to Claiborne, the frontage road. (Esplanade is the second French Quarter exit). Get into the left lane immediately after leaving the off ramp as you will need to take a left at the first intersection with a light. You are now on Esplanade Avenue. House is on the right in the second block.

From the East: Follow Interstate 10 (I-10) west towards New Orleans. Take the St. Bernard Street exit (236C) stay in the right hand lane and turn left off the off ramp and then an immediate right at the very first stop light. You will be on Claiborne, the frontage road for the Interstate. The next stop light is Esplanade. Take a right on Esplanade. House is on the right in the second block.
