| Totaranui is situated on 26 acres of native bush, overlooking the mouth of Whangarei Harbour and volcanic mountains. We offer 2 double rooms with private ensuite bathrooms and entrances. From the wrap-around deck it is always possible to find a sunny spot and a breathtaking view. The included breakfast includes a choice of freshly baked rolls, muesli, yoghurt, fruit, jams and cheeses, cold meats and bacon with eggs from our own chickens. People marvel at the tranquility of Totaranui and often remark that they can't recall ever having slept as well. Directions
|
| When you get to Whangarei, pass Visitors Information and drive towards Quayside, Town Center, Town Basin and Airport about 200 meters later on your right. At the Town Basin, follow the signs towards Onerahi and the airport - that's about 5 kms. In Onerahi you turn left at Hammer Hardware. About 12 kms later you have passed a golf-course and later a marina and then Parua Bay Tavern. Pass the tavern and follow the road for about 1 km till you get to the top of the hill. Owhiwa Rd. is the road that goes off to the left on top of the hill. Drive 2 kms exactly and you will see our sign at the driveway on the left side. Mind the cows! |
