Things To Do

| Whilst staying at our 2700 acre farm with cattle, sheep and chooks, you have the choice between a variety of activities. You may prefer total relaxation from the city stress, watch peaceful our sheep or cattle grazing around you?
Take time to enjoy the company of friends or relatives as a big family.
Observe the wildlife in its natural habitat, Kängaroos, eagles, gallahs Port Lincoln Parrots and other creatures you see all around you, or take the opportunity to participate in our farm work, following us and watching our daily activities. We also can take you with us on a tractor ride when we are feeding the sheep or cattle.n our ponds you will find yabbies for your dinner (Catching basket small fee)
Shearing (September, December, April), and lambing (June) are special events on the farm. You could be here. For shearing is only the Homestead available. Please ask for the dates.
English and German books are in abundance in the cottages library. |

This 2 bedroom tastefully renovated brick home has much to offer and is the ideal affordable hide away or family retreat. The surrounding forest and paddocks with sheep grazing on your door step provide the comfortable feeling of rural living and relaxation. The home is cool in summer and warm in winter. A wide paved veranda, a small garden and an extra BBQ area are ideal for outdoor entertainment.

Directions

| From Adelaide -Tumby, take a short cut -, pass the airport (400m turn off), pass the cemetery left side and see the road sign McKechnie Springs farmstay ( blue) left, opposite turn in the Murray drive, follow the signs until you come to Mc Kechnie Springs farmstay .
From Port Lincoln city -you turn in the Flinders Highway at the round- about next to the war memorial where you notice our road sign. Pass the Golf Coarse, 100 m behind at the left site a sign Mc Kechnie Springs Farmstay shows you the direction in the Wayne Chanty road. At the Mc Farlane Raod crossing (fire shed left) you turn right until you see our sign infront of our entrance. Coming from the West coast, Ceduna or Cummins a sign Mc Kechnie Springs farmstay after the big swamp right side shows to Mc Farlane road. Turn left and drive until you come to the road crossing and see the Greenpatch fire shed at your right side. Turn left until you come to our main gate.
