Tugam Game Farm is an affordable family escape to a rich bush experience, nestled deep in the heard of Kwazulu Natal bush on the eastern slopes of Magudu Hills which is steeped in natural beauty and cultural history.
The indigenous forest provide for game viewing at it’s best, as well as four ecotourism designed 4x4 trails for up and personal experiences with Africa’s wildlife such as Rhino,
Njala, Giraffe, Zebra, Kudu and Blue wildebeest. Hiking trails offer several hides at dams from where 20 species of game and excellent bird life can be viewed from close range.
Tugam is situated on the eastern slopes of the Magudu hills which is steeped in natural beauty and cultural history

There are three accommodations options.
Khangela Lodge the main lodge with catering or self catering options is perched high on the mountain with magnificent view across the Zululand bush and the Lebombo Mountains as a backdrop. It has a spacious deck with a Jacuzzi, a lounge cum dining area under a magnificent thatched structure. A few steps down are the lapa where the campfire may be enjoyed. There are three four bed family chalets en- suite with lofts and air conditioners, and two twin bed chalets en-suite.

Matumi camp has 2 x 3 bed chalets en suite with air conditioners, fully equipped kitchen, thatched lapa with open braai facilities, spacious deck with Jacuzzi

Tambotie Grove camp ideal for the safari enthusiasts with basic necessities such as bucket shower and bush scullery, are in place to complement the bush environment where guests can either pitch surface or roof tents.

Tugam is within a 2-hour drive from the Maputo land coast with places like Kosi Bay Sodwana Bay, St Lucia Wetland ideal to visit for the day. Otherwise one can also take a day outing to the three Natal Parks Board reserves of Itala, Mkuze or Umfolozi.
Tugam is the best choice to enjoy the magic of the Zulu land bush, beautiful sunset and sunrise views, game and bird viewing.
