| The Abbey of Saint Vittore is located half the way between the old town of Cingoli and the medioevals walls of Jesi, you can drive to the Park of the Conero, the historical cities of Osimo and Castelfidardo, the magnificent and incontaminated beaches of Sirolo and Numana, Portonovo. With a twenty minutes drive you may visit the spectacular Frasassi Coves (among the biggest in the World) http://www.frasassi.com/indexuk.html where you may chose a classical tour or be escorted by guides to zones normally not accessible to the public. With a short drive you may also reach Ancona, the basilica of Loreto, very popular among pilgrims, Macerata, old university town offers an interesting Opera season; Recanati, native village of Giacomo Leopardi, the Town of Cingoli also known as balcony of the Marche (do not miss a visit to the archaeological museum and the pinacoteca). For nature lovers we suggest the nearby lake of Castriccioni, just a true paradise for the fishermen, lovers of the birdwatching and the canoe. If you are looking for sport activities you have a wide choice of trekking, horse riding and mountain bike. A very well equipped Soccer field for teams of five players may be booked even at night 5walking distance from the Abbey).
For the greedy ones - In the zone it is possible to discover one great variety of cheeses range, from every type of pecorino to the warm buffalo mozzarella of bufala, still warm as just made. Very popular are the Laboratori that make fresh pasta, that according to the season you may taste with Porcini and wild forest mushrooms sauce or delicious local truffles. Wide choice also of local salami and prosciutto including an exceptional quality of cingolana fresh bresaola. At the right time of the year you have also the possibility of tasting the rare shrimps and crabs of the local river. Last, but not least, it is a good opportunity to make oil and wine supply (especially Verdicchio that in the zone have an unbeateble quality. You may accompany a range of 12 high DOC wines with our suggestions: the stoccafisso anconitana, the vincisgrassi, the olives of Ascoli, the brodetto, the maccheroncini of Campofilone, the ciauscolo, the cheese of fossa of Talamello, the truffle of Acqualagna, Sant' Angel in Vado and Sant' Feltria Agate, the caciotta of Urbino, the prosciutto of Carpegna, the salame of Fabriano.
All year round there are Popular middle age fairs in the nearby towns totally dedicated to local wines and food where you may taste the most delicious local products, the Abbey owners will be happy to assist you.

| By car
From Bologna, follow the motorway l4 until Ancona North, then take the freeway Jesi-Fabriano and exit at Cingoli. When you reach the village Coste, alongside the road to Cingoli follow the road indications to the Abbey.
From Rome, take the motorway A1 until Orte. Then proceed towards Spoleto, Gualdo Tadino, Fabriano, Jesi. Shortly before Jesi take the exit for Cingoli. When you reach the village Coste, alongside the road to Cingoli follow the road indications to the Abbey.
By Train
From all major North Italian cities take a train to Ancona, where you may rent a car.or a taxi
