An architecturally designed, purpose built, 2-bedroom self contained luxury guest house that has open plan living area with natural timber floors and a fully equipped kitchen. There are large bi-fold doors in the dining area that open out onto the deck. There is a large dining table with six chairs, 2 x 2-seaters, 1 x 3-seater, Coffee table, 32 inch T.V with surround sound, DVD player and stereo, and Selection of DVDs, CDs magazines and Books.
The master bedroom has a king-size bed and also bi-fold doors that opens onto the deck, bringing the sea to your bedside. This spacious master bedroom also has a T.V., DVD player and large wardrobe, 2 bedside tables and reading lights.
The bathroom, which can also be accessed from the master bedroom, has a large 2-person spa bath, large shower, toilet, large vanity, heated towel rail, towel rail, heat lamp , hair dryer and mirror demister
The second bedroom has 2 single beds, built in wardrobe and bedside cabinet.
There is a laundry with washing machine, washing tub, Iron and ironing board and second toilet.
The Breakaway Retreat has an electric heat pump for heating during those cooler months and also air conditioning for cooling during the long hot summer nights.
The Breakaway Retreat also has its own supply of natural spring water which comes direct from Mt Manaia. This water is lovely to drink and also very soft on your skin and hair.
There is a large deck that wraps around the house, enjoying great views of the sea; a portion of the deck is also undercover. A BBQ, BBQ table and chairs, and an outdoor lounger are provided.

Things To Do
|
|
The Whangarei Heads area is a great place to go kayaking, fishing, water skiing, diving, sailing, windsurfing, surfing, lots of scenic coastal walks or just relaxing on the beaches soaking up the sun.
There are a number of boat ramps nearby for launching small runabouts or sailing vessels. Boats can be anchored in front of the Retreat for easy access.

| Room Rate
Peak season (1 Dec to 31 March and holiday weekends) is $290 per couple and $45 per additional person.
Off Peak Season (1 April to 31 November excluding holiday weekends) is $250 per couple and $45 per additional person.
Conditions:
Minimum stay 2 nights Single party bookings only.

Directions

| When you get to Whangarei follow the signs towards Town Basin and then to Onerahi. Just after the Onerahi shops turn left, by Hammer Hardware, onto Whangarei Heads Road, follow this road past the Parua Bay Shopping Centre. After the Parua Bay Shopping Centre the road then takes a 90degree turn, continue to take the Whangarei Heads Road until you reach the McLeod Bay 50km large speed sign. We are the second entrance on the right after this sign. There is a silver dollar gum tree at the entrance with the no's 1856. |
