Things To Do

Lorne House offers an ideal base for visiting a number of local and further afield places of interest. Details of such locations are available in the foyer. These include: HISTORIC CORSHAM, Including the old market house,Corsham Court, The Almshouses. BOWOOD HOUSE. Nr. chippenham with world famous rhododendron gardens. BATH. The historic Roman Baths are not to be missed.as are the brand new spa baths where you can bathe in the hot springs of the Romans. LONGLEAT HOUSE. With it's famous safari park, free roaming lions and monkeys. CHEDDAR CAVES/WOOKEY HOLE. The most impresive and colourful caves in the country AVEBURY STONE CIRCLE. Who in ancient history were able to erect these huge stones so precisely. STONEHENGE. A world heritage site that can't be missed

Directions

Lorne House is located on the right hand side of the A4, next door to Box Surgery, as you enter Box from the direction of Chippenham.
Travelling east from bristol on the M4, exit at junction 18 and take the A46 towards Bath. On the duel carriage way, take the right hand lane A4 towards Chippenham.. Drive through Box and Lorne House is situated 100 mtrs on the left after the pedestrian crossing.
Travelling west from London on the M4, exit at junction 17 and take the A350 towards Chippenham. At the next roundabout turn right. At the 5th roundabout turn right onto the A4 towards Bath. Travel for about 6 miles and after going down a long hill you will enter the village of Box. Lorne House is situated just 200 mtrs on the right hand side after the Box sign.
