Temple House is a classical Georgian mansion set in an estate of 1,000 acres, overlooking a 13th century lakeside castle of the Knights Templar. The Perceval family home since 1665, the present house was redesigned in 1864 and retains its old atmosphere, furnishings and some canopied beds. There are terraced gardens and miles of woodland walks. Guests may also explore the lake in a rowing boat or fish for pike.

Meals are thoughtfully prepared using fresh local ingredients, including produce from the farm and walled garden.

Temple House is an ideal stopover between the west and north and a great base for exploring Sligo, Mayo or South Donegal.

Directions

The easiest way to find us is off the N17.

From North:
9km from Collooney N4/N17 junction,
take brown sign left 0.5km south of Ballinacarrow.

From South:
Through Tubber/Tobercurry then after 15km at village sign for Ballinacarrow turn right.

3 hrs from Shannon, Dublin, Belfast.
~35 min to Sligo or Knock Airport.
