Ferry Man's Cottage offers an exclusive self contained lakeside retreat set in it's own private 12 acre section which forms part of our
33 acre property. Located on the edge of a small Lake, 2 km from the highway and, with only native Wekas, Pukekos and wild ducks as neighbors this is a most peaceful spot.

Directions

| From the South, After passing through Charleston, drive for 8KM, After crossing the Big Totara River, at the top of the hill turn left into Birds Ferry Road.
From the North, 17km from Westport on SH6 you will come to Birds Ferry Road on your Right.
From Nelson, 6km out of Westport take the turn for Greymouth (SH6) and drive for 11km. Once on Birds Ferry Road follow the power poles for 1.8km, on the unsealed road, to the gate where a warm welcome awaits you.
Ferry Mans Cottage - Guests should proceed directly to the cottage which is 300m beyond the Lodge on Birds Ferry Road.
