| The outdoor swimming pool in the walled garden is available during June, July and August.
There are several National Trust properties nearby, including the spectacular gardens at Stourhead, and Montacute House where 'Sense and Sensibility' was filmed. The caves at Cheddar and Wookey Hole are also only 20 minutes away. Other attractions nearby are: Glastonbury, with its Tor and Abbey, Wells Cathedral, Sparkford Motor Museum, Yeovilton Air Museum and Longleat.
Walkers will appreciate the Mendip Hills and the Somerset levels (traditional basket making and R.S.P.B. reserve.
For those who need some 'retail therapy' explore the Street factory shops, Antique shops in Castle Cary and Honiton, or the cities of Bath, Bristol and Salisbury.
While you are here, don't miss Castle Cary which is a busy town with many independent shops in which to browse. |

The king-size bedded double room has an ensuite shower room and is furnished with mahogany furniture including a wardrobe that has been in the house for at least 80 years. The main window faces south and overlooks the front garden with a lavender bed in the summer and many snowdrops in winter. You can also see the 'archway' leading to the farmyard through our old stone barn-one of very few 'unconverted' barns in Somerset!
