Ai Cartari B&B Palermo
| This charming Bed and Breakfast in Palermo, Ai Cartari, is of medieval origin and was once a paper mill. Although the B&B is situated in the heart of the historical center of Palermo, it is absolutely sheltered from the noise of traffic. It is within walking distance of monuments, churches, museums, and folkloristic gastronomic places of the city. It is also ideally situated for those who want to shop or just get some open air. The owners have restored this building respecting its architectural distinctive features (stone's walls, arcade, wood ceilings and trusses). The available locals (60 mq. wide) have an independent admittance from an internal semicircular court that faces ancient buildings of the old Palermo. Wide windows illuminate the apartments which are divided (from curtains or sliding doors) into three zones (one has a double bed and the other two have single beds). The furnishings are principally formed by wrought iron elements and old sicilian pieces of furniture. The private bathroom are decorated with ancient nineteenth-century majolicas. |
