Dormouse House Garden B&B
| Dormouse House Garden B&B is set in absolute calm with songbirds and forests only 20 odd minutes from the Gare St Lazare, Paris, by direct train. We offer 'casual luxury' in sharing our home with you: there is a jacuzzi, fireplace, a museum collection of artworks and antiques, heated towel bars in winter, and a truly spectacular flower and organic fruit/vegetable garden plus eggs from our own hens. We have 2 double rooms, each in its own wing with private bathroom, plus an additional single room that adjoins the Rose Suite for larger groups (a 2nd folding bed may be added; please ask for details and note that this single room is NOT suitable for children under 6.) We offer a low key welcome in an NON SMOKING environment. Pets are accepted on approval (we have 2 cats and 2 small dogs.) Supervised children are welcome. There is on-site parking and the property is enclosed.Home-cooked dinners (inc. vegetarian) are available, often using our own produce. We speak English, French, Spanish, and some Italian (Lisa is from San Francisco, Jack is from Scotland.) Spring 2008 has brought a garden redesign (lovely!) and redecoration to an even higher standard! |

The charming village here features an 11th c. church, cascades, restaurants, cafes, and walks along the Seine river or in the nearaby forest. There is also a lovely public golf course and a pony club (children and experienced smaller adults) just a few steps away. Bicycles are available, and we also have table tennis. |

Directions
| To get here from Paris by car, take the A13, direction Rouen, then exit 7 to Villennes sur Seine (call for more info if needed.) By train, go to the Gare St. Lazare, buy a ticket at the Ile de France ticket counter for Villennes sur Seine, and take the direct train here; call at the cafe and we will come get you or let us know ahead of time when you will arrive. From CDG, again, make your way to Paris (many options) and take the train from St Lazare. For convenience or larger groups, a taxi is a good option - about 50 euros or so from Paris, 110 from CDG. We are about 15 minutes by foot from the station; there is a bus during rush hours am/pm except holidays and august. We can pick you up when you arrive. Trains run until at least midnight.
