Argentan is a traditional historic Normandy Town with a very good direct rail links to Paris and Granville on the coast.

Things To Do
|
| Visit cheese making museums, calvados distilleries, Mont Saint Michel or local restaurants in Argentan. Explore botanical, landscaped or historic gardens usually attached to superb Chateaux, Manors, Abbeys and Cathedrals.
Visit medieval towns such as Caen, Hornfleur, Rouen, Domfront, Bagnoles & Bayeaux, WW2 Historic Battle sites and places of remembrance.
Visit Haras du Pin a superb 18th century stud farm and centre of equestrian excellence. There are also local equestrian centres and pony clubs. Fish at Etang du Moulin with its two lakes surrounded by forests in the Normandy National Park.
There are 4000km of rivers & 150 hectares of lakes in L’Orne alone. Golf: 37 courses in Normandy open all year round. Indoor pool in Argentan with tennis, canoeing, rambling, cycling, and sailing all available reasonably locally. Stables & grazing available on site with parking available for caravans & tents. Pets allowed.

Directions

| Farm Location 50 minutes form Caen, 1 ½ hours from
Cherbourg, 2 hours from St Malo and 4 ½ hours from Calais. Local Directions from Argentan ring road are as follows;
Take the Argentan Ring Road across a series of roundabouts till you meet a set of traffic lights with Intermarche and Bricomarche supermarkets diagonally opposite on left. On the right by the traffic lights is the Aries Hotel. Carry straight on across the lights on the road called the Boulevard de
L'expansion (N158).
Turn right at next set of lights (3 way set) on to Rue De Sees There is a lane about the 3rd turn on right by a white picket fence called Chemen de Frevent turn down and at end go right over a bridge and on down lane to farm entrance on right about 300 yards.
