Directions

BY AIR: The airport (located to west of city) is about a 25 minute taxi journey and will cost approximately £20. Alternatively the airport bus, which costs £3.50 (every 15 minutes) will take you to the city centre, Waverley, from which a local bus or taxi can be caught.

BY BUS: Number 2 from the Grassmarket or the 30 every 12 minutes or the 33 every 10 minutes (Lothian Regional Transport Bus) or the number 14 bus from Leith Street runs every 15 minutes.

BY TRAIN: Waverley Train Station is closer to the Clan Walker Guest House out of the two train stations in Edinburgh, Haymarket being a little further away. From Waverley there is a taxi rank within the train station.

FROM TOURIST INFORMATION CENTRE: Head towards the South Bridge and go straight up towards Newington Road. Dalkeith Road runs Parallel to this on the left hand side heading out of town direction.
