| Craigbuie (it means the Golden or Yellow Hill) is situated on Main Street in Killin between the Falls of Dochart and Loch Tay, surrounded on three sides by heather clad mountains and on the fourth side by Loch Tay. We are ideally situated in the centre of the village opposite the Newsagents, Outdoor Center (for bike and canoe hire), Coop supermarket the McLaren Hall and the 2 churches. There are several good restaurants and pubs within walking distance.
Prices vary from £28 per person per night for two people sharing in low season, surcharges apply for single occupancy of a double room and childrens discount of £10 also applies. All prices include full cooked Scottish breakfast.
The area is famous for the Falls of Dochart, Munro bagging (several local Munros within easy reach, including Ben Lawers), Water sports activities on Loch Tay or Loch Earn, cycling and walking. Lots of local history, Rob Roy, Bonnie Prince Charlie and black Duncan of the cowl and of course William (Braveheart) Wallace.
We have wired Ethernet Internet access available in all bedrooms for a small charge.

| Edinburgh Airport is 66 miles from Killin using the M9 and A84 to Lix Toll. From here it is 2 miles further on the A874.
From Edinburgh Bus/Railway Station take the Citylink bus to Lix Toll and then on a further 2 miles to Killin on the A874.
Glasgow Airport is 66 miles from Killin on the M8 and A84 to Loch Lomond, then on the A85 to Crianlarich, before taking the A874 to Killin.
From Glasgow Bus/Railway Station take the Citylink bus to Oban/Fort William. Change bus at Crianlarich to Killin on the A874. |
