Adria House Guest House
The Adria House Guest House in Edinburgh is a well established, family-run and now FULLY NO-SMOKING guest house, centrally situated and just 15 minutes walk from the main bus and train stations of St. Andrew’s and Waverley. The Adria offers charming, comfortable accommodation and good value for it's central location. It is within easy walking distance of many of Edinburgh's principal cultural, historical and retail landmarks. Built in the 1820's, the Adria House gives the discerning guest the opportunity to live in a property forming part of the city's "New Town" which visitors from around the world come to admire.

This 200 year old building is situated within a UNESCO World Heritage Site and was once a fashionable society house. Today the Adria still embodies much of the Georgian architecture and decorative elegance associated with the period found within Edinburgh's New Town. The cobbled Royal Terrace was also once nick-named "Whisky Row" after the rich merchant families once resident here who bought the then new properties and from the upper floors could view their ships return from trading trips.

Built on and around seven hills, Edinburgh is a remarkable place in which surprising changes of level occur at every turn. Calton Hill where we are situated being one of them. The seclusion offered by the treelined, terraced gardens skirting Calton Hill, yet the close proximity of the Adria to the city centre, provides guests with an ideal location just to rest or explore Edinburgh from this base. Venture out on foot or, for those travelling further afield, use of the excellent bus service available close at hand.
