| A friendly and relaxing high quality bed and breakfast in the Scottish Borders, Scotland’s best short break destination. Set in the village of Innerleithen, near Peebles, we provide excellent accommodation, including a large, comfortable dining room/lounge where guests can relax after an enjoyable day in the surrounding countryside. The guest house sits in an acre of gardens with lovely views of the local hills and has ample on-site parking for guests.
The Scottish Borders offers an unparalleled range of things to do and see all within easy driving distance of the house. Just 28 Miles south of Edinburgh, in the beautiful Tweed Valley, Innerleithen is ideally positioned as a central base from which to tour the Borders whether by car or by cycle.
Walkers are well catered for with a range of walks to suit all tastes and levels of fitness. The long-distance Southern Upland Way footpath passes through Traquair to the south of the village. For the more adventurous, we are 5 minutes from Glentress and 7 Stanes, the UK's premier mountain-biking centre, and the artery of the River Tweed provides both canoeing and some of the best fishing in the UK. Golfers are also well catered for with courses in Innerleithen, Cardrona and Peebles and many others within easy driving distance.
We provide mountain bikers, fishermen, golfers and walkers with secure storage/workspace and power wash facilities for bikes and other sports equipment. We will also happily offer early breakfasts and provide packed lunches with a little prior notice.

Things To Do

| There are castles, abbeys, stately homes, mills and museums and local festivals.
The area offers hillwalkers, road cyclists and mountain bikers activities, plus some of the best fishing in Scotland.
There is a 9 hole course a few minutes from Glede Knowe, and 18 hole championship courses at both Cardrona and Peebles. There are many other local 9 and 18 hole courses within a short drive. Pony trekking, birdwatching and natural heritage centres on our doorstep, as well as kayaking, open canoeing, archery, quad-biking, clay pigeon shooting, falconry, 4x4 driving and many other activities on offer at nearby Cardrona.

Directions

| Innerleithen lies 28 miles south of Edinburgh, 5 miles south of Peebles on the A72. Approaching from the North (Edinburgh), take the second turning left on entering the village into Hall street, just opposite the right turn to Traquair with a church on the corner. If approaching from the South, Turn off to the right at the West end of the village.
Pass a car park and the entrance to the playing fields on the right and follow the road along Hall Street (which becomes St Ronan's Terrace) up the hill and round a bend. Glede Knowe is situated on an open elevated site on the right about 100m beyond the bend,. We are in a very quiet road, two minutes walking distance from the shops and hotels, overlooking Innerleithen tennis courts and playing fields and with lovely views to the hills all around.
