Rarely do you find a place that speaks to you – body, mind and soul. Or to put it another way, gifts you with the relaxing comforts of unpretentious luxury living, in the sanctity of natural surroundings that have been there since the world began …where you have a sense that you have finally found a hideaway for all of you … and perhaps for the first time in your life are able to let down your defences completely and abandon yourself to genteel attentions and deeply transforming experiences. All this can happen to you at Intsomi Forest Lodge … and the magic is, you sense it the moment you arrive. It truly is love at first sight.
Where’s the magic? Well, the magic is all around. The lodge is an exercise in natural wood, with eight luxury double suites; hosting, local cuisine, amenities and services to match. It’s furnished sumptuously with the use of natural textures and is decorated with pieces and artefacts that recall a diverse and rich heritage. Designed for inside-outside living, is nestled in the protected Alexandria forest, and occupies one thousand hectares in the greater Addo reserve – with grassy planes, bush, forest and panoramic views of expansive white dunes, the sea and sky beyond.
In this sanctuary there is a feeling of space and peace, and the gentle massaging of the senses as the languid days unfold in natural order … You’ll have time to experience an intimate exchange with the environment. Be in the right frame of mind to explore the many attractions in the area. There are San heritage sights nearby. A trip to the Addo reserve has all the game-viewing Africa can offer, including the big five. In season you can view the great white shark and enjoy the thrill of whale watching.
Naturally there’s more … including a conference centre. For business or pleasure make Intsomi your secret hideaway …
See you soon.
