The Wild Mushroom

This Stellenbosch boutique hotel comprises of six beautiful suites offering luxury Cape Winelands Accommodation. Each tells the tale of a specific mushroom species. In a sophisticated way the luxurious interior renders the vital colours and textures of the Golden Oyster, the indigenous Kalahari truffle, the magical Psilocybe, the pink-purple Russula, the orange-green Lactarius Deliciosus and the glimmering Omphalotus, or Copper Trumpet mushrooms. Artworks in the Daedalia dining room and Clathrus lounge further contribute to the multiple discovery of the world of mushrooms. A variety of books that depict the wonderful world of fungi are available in the blue-purple Purpureum library. The library also serves as conference room and media centre. Although the decor of each room differs, they all are furnished with extra-length king-size beds and plasma-screen TVs with DStv. An iPod-friendly music centre with radio, alarm and CD player is also available in every Cape Winelands hotel suite. Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel. Air-conditioning, underfloor heating and heated towel railings ensure maximum comfort in the summer and winter months.
