| Offering 3 double rooms and one twin, all with en-suite facilities and terrace, Manoir La Betoulle offers you the chance to stay in unrivalled luxury in a peaceful environment within easy reach of Limoges & Angouleme airports. The manoir is located in 90 acres of unspoilt countryside and 300 year old woodland and is a haven for ramblers and birdwatchers. Wild deer can be seen in the woods and cowslips line the pathways in springtime. The house is built in the classical style on a grand scale and the rooms are individually furnished, each having a theme of its own. Guests are welcome to relax in the comfort of the spacious lounge areas and take breakfast in either the dining room or on the large terrace overlooking the grounds and pool. The energetic can swim in the huge roman tiled pool or play tennis on the hard court while those in search of relaxation can recline in comfort soaking up the warm Charente sun. Further afield, you are welcome to cycle or stroll around the 90 acre estate. There are a number of excellent restaurants in the area where guests can sample regional specialities, fine wines and, of course, the locally produced Cognac. Perfect for Easter breaks, long weekends, summer holiday fun or autumn relaxation, our delightful properties are set in the heart of the beautiful Charente countryside. Wheatfields, vineyards, lakes and woods, fine food and wines can all be found along with historic towns and villages. Explore our website or contact us to find out more. All rooms have an en-suite bathroom with separate WC together with fitted wardrobes and dressing area. Ornate chandeliers and table lamps offer a range of lighting. Under-floor heating ensures comfort in winter months. Every room is decorated in a different style using mainly 19th century antiques acquired by the owners over the last 15 years. The covered upper terrace is accessible from every room & is the perfect spot for chilling off in the late afternoon sun or enjoying a digestif while watching the sunset over the pool and grounds.

Directions
|
| The estate is situated about a kilometre from the village of St. Claud which has good local facilities and only 30 minutes drive from Angoulême where the selection of shops and restaurants is superb. The area is well served by transport links, particularly the low cost airlines. If you are entering St Claud via the D951 from the N141 or Roumazieres/Nieuil, when you enter the centre of the village you will see a very sharp right hand bend going round the post office (on the RHS). Go round and slowly up between houses on either side until you come to a hidden crossroads – you need to turn left on the D28 to Champagne Mouton. (If you miss this left turning you will leave the village and proceed to Confolens!) Follow the D28 for about 1km – look out for the fire station on your right. You will then see a sign for La Betoulle on your right and then very quickly on your left you will see black wrought iron set into a wall - this is the entrance to the driveway.
