Normandy WW2 D-Day Guided Tours

Experience the history of The Battle of Normandy WW2 D-Day. Walk where they fought with your own private personal tour guide. Visit the areas where the battles of World War 2 took place. Visit "Dead Mans Corner", the church at St Mere Eglise, the museums, Utah and Omaha beaches where the American D Day landings took place. The Battlefields of Carentan, Pointe du Hoc. The US Military Cemetery where over 9000 US service men and women are laid to rest.
In the British sector visit Gold, Juno, Sword landing beaches, Pegasus Bridge, Ranville and Bayeux War Graves Cemetery. You will be able to visit the D-Day museums at various sites on your tour.

The Gite accommodation is a recently refurbished double glazed self contained
French Gite with a woodland garden adjoining, comprising of a double bedroom with bed linen supplied on a weekly basis, comfortable Lounge/Diner with TV/Video, Radio/CD cassette player. WC/Shower and vanity unit (towels and tea towels not supplied), Kitchenette equipped with cooking utilities, cutlery, crockery, fridge and microwave, iron etc, in fact everything you may need during your stay, OR Bed & Breakfast in the adjacent house.
Ideally suited for couples wishing to explore the many places of interest close by.

Directions to La Chataigne
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Leave the port of Cherbourg by N13 following signs to St Lo then take exit D971 and follow Carentan sign. At the roundaboput take 2nd exit towards Periers. At the next roundabout continue towards Periers and watch for the sign to St George de Bohon D29 and turn left. Continue through St George de Bohon, approximately 1.5 km. After leaving the village look out for the large Crucifix on the left junction and turn immediately left (Rue Du Douit). Approximately 0.5 km on right is entrance to La Chataigne through wooden gates.
