“On The Shore” Boutique Bed and breakfast is located in a beautiful seaside area in Christchurch. South Shore is unique in that it is bounded by the Pacific Ocean on one side and the Estuary on the other.

Our home is situated on a large landscaped property on the waterfront overlooking the estuary. It has beautiful views of the estuary, port hills, and over the city to the Southern Alps. Most evenings beautiful sunsets are reflected in the waters.

Two giant Pohutakawas set amidst a fantasy of ponds, waterfall, pathways and creative decking. Sail or kayak from your own front door or just go fishing. Bonus of the outside spa pool overlooking the water. Ample secure parking outside. This property is so well situated that it boasts immediate Estuary Frontage, calm waters, bird sanctuary, all within meters of the famous surf beach of South New Brighton. Perfect for bird-watchers, painters and for mind clearing walks but only 12 minutes and you’re in the hustle and bustle of the city. Local cafe, eateries and a pub all within walking distance for those lazy days in just chilling out with the views. Buses every 10 minutes to New Brighton and City from the gate. Homemade evening meals can be made via prior arrangement.
