Set in a beautiful established garden iThemba Lodge is a sanctuary of peace and calm and yet is minutes away from busy Louis Botha Avenue.

iThemba focuses on comfort, service and good food. The generous breakfasts are prepared with the freshest of ingredients and fruit juice is extracted every morning. Dinners are available on request. The dining room is available for private functions and seats a maximum of twelve. Sue Wright, previous owner of the popular Café on 4th Ave, Melville, has included updated African favourites for the Ithemba Lodge menu.

For sport lovers we are close to Wanderers and Ellis Park Stadiums and the Houghton, Royal Kensington, Observatory, Linksfield, Killarney, Wanderers and Glendower Golf Courses.

Shopping in the area is excitingly diverse and includes the centres of Eastgate, Killarney Mall and the sprawling Rosebank area. For an African shopping experience you can visit the craft traders at Bruma Market, or take a walk down Louis Botha Avenue to shop for African traditional fashion and visit a traditional healer.

The surrounding suburbs of Orange Grove, Norwood, Linksfield and Senderwood all boast good restaurants. The newly renovated Victory Theatre, the home of Umojo, is a mere block and a half away. Ithemba Lodge is close to the best public transport route, access is easy from here to Johannesburg Central, Rosebank, Sandton and the Airport.
