| 'Bel Ombrage' is located on the outskirts of the charming mediæval town of Le Dorat, and is arranged on two floors surrounded by an attractively landscaped garden.
Guests bedrooms and breakfast/dining room are located on the first floor, which has its own entrance, reached via a stairway leading from the gardens to the sunny terrace, while our own accomodation is on the ground floor.
The house is of comparatively recent construction, and thus boasts no particular points of historical interest - however, it is a charming, comfortable and convenient spot from which to base your explorations of this lovely region of France.

Things To Do
|
| As well as providing you with luxurious accomodation and first class meals, if you require them, we will be happy to introduce you to the pleasures of rural Limousin. Enjoy long walks in our beautiful countryside. Or hire a bicycle from us, and take one of our highly-praised picnic lunches with you on your trip. The beach at St. Pardoux is close, fishing is popular and permitted in the area, and for shopping, the city of Poitiers and the regional capital, Limoges are easily reached. Golf and other sports are close by, as are a number of wild-life attractions, and the Futurescope park near Poitiers is about 1 hour's drive. |

A family suite consisting of two bedrooms (1 double, 1 twin), a spacious shower room with twin basins and walk-in shower, and a separate toilet. Both bedrooms have the same guest facilities as our other rooms. Ideal for families or groups of 3 or 4, the Elgar suite can also be let for single or double occupancy (1 bedroom) at an appropriately reduced rate if our other rooms are unavailable. | Room Rate

Directions

| Le Dorat is about 45 minutes to 1 hours drive from either Poitiers or Limoges airport, or can be reached by rail from the main railway station in either town. 3 to 4 hours drive from Paris, 6-7 hours from ferry ports.
We are on the outskirts of Le Dorat, on the road leading in the direction of Le Blanc and La Trimouille. |
