Alta Bay
Alta Bay, located in Higgovale, the most up-market suburb of the City Bowl, is set high on the slopes of Table Mountain, with beautiful views over Table Bay and the City, yet only 2 km away from most of Cape Town’s attractions including the Waterfront, Clifton and Camps Bay beaches. Surrounded by a lush native garden, Alta Bay combines understated luxury and urban chic with a laid-back and retreat atmosphere.

Alta Bay, previously a 5-star boutique hotel has recently been converted into a 4-star B&B with 4 luxury units. This Tuscan house is built on separate levels with a great sense of space and light throughout. Each unit has a separate entrance, fully equipped kitchen (or kitchenette) and a private terrace / deck. The Loft (70 m²) and the Bay Suite (42 m²) offer spectacular views of the sea and city while the Garden Room (28 m²) below has the benefit of the shaded lush garden. The Loft has a bedroom on the mezzanine floor, a bathroom with bath & shower and a sleeper couch which can accommodate a 3rd adult or 2 children. A continental breakfast (served in the room or terrace from 9h00 to 12h00) is optional. at an extra charge. Should guest want breakfast earlier, note that there is a choice of restaurants and coffee shops (open from 7h) at walking distance (900 m) from Alta Bay.

All 4 luxurious units were designed in a contemporary style with bespoke furniture handcrafted locally. Each room has its own private outdoor terrace / garden and offers extra-length king/twin beds, air-con, flat screen TV’s with incorporated DVD/CD player, satellite TV, electronic safes and wireless PC connection.
