Maison Rouma
Maison Rouma was built for the Rouma family in the 19th Century, it was named after Dr. Rouma, a medical Doctor and many terms the mayor, it is nestled on the bank of the river lot, with the backdrop of the medieval town of puy l'eveque.
A terrace looks over the town and river where, weather permtting, it is possible to have breakfast.This is a very picturesque area, and being in the centre of the Cahors wine country it is surrounded by vineyards, where visitors are welcome to visit and taste the wines. This is a great walking area and there are many walks to suit all tastes, you will find many villages to explore and most of them have a market for local produce and other things. There are many historic places in the area of which the medieval town of Cahors with its cathedral, and pont valentre is certainly worth a visit.A very popular event in August is the annual firework display which is centred around the river. Canoes are available for hire in the season, among the local activities there is usually a fishing competition where competitors come from all over France.
