Maison Delmas
Welcome to Maison Delmas, a Maison de Maître situated in the beautiful Lot village of Puy l’Eveque. The house and mill were built in 1769.
There are four bedrooms available. Three have a double beds and a twin room. A continental breakfast will be served on the terrace weather permitting.
Guests have the use of the lounge with TV (English) and the salon for reading where plenty of books are available.
We are conveniently situated in the heart of the village situated off from the road, with lovely garden. Within easy walking distance there are 10 restaurants in the Village.
The area has host of things to see and do, be it, visiting the many Bastide towns, walking in the hills and vineyards, enjoying the many festivals and fetes or just relaxing. Puy L’Eveque village is medieval with an old town built up the cliff off the river.
The area is steeped in history, with over 300 Bastide fortified towns in the Lot and Dordogne many of which are close by. The Lot is renowned for it gastronomic delights There are a wealth of restaurants to have a Plat du jour or a cosy dinner This area is rural France at its very best.
The village is in the Lot Valley with the meandering River Lot. The river is famous for its fishing the village holds an annual national fishing competition. There are a host of activities to see and enjoy, be it daily markets in the surrounding villages and towns as well as summer fetes and music festivals, admire architecture of the Bastide towns, swimming in the river, or at one of the swimming lakes in the area, excellent walking in the vineyards or the surrounding hills, cycling is much favoured in the area. Things To Do near "Maison Delmas" in Lot
In the village there is a selection of restaurants offering local delicacies. The Lot valley is renowned for the black Cahors wine and there are numerous vineyards offering wine tasting and some have tours available giving an insight into the complexities of achieving good wine to make the highly rated wines that are grown in this region. You can explore the hiking trails with several interesting walks in the area and there is canoeing and a sight seeing boat which does trips along the river Lot. Within 5 minutes walking distance we have an indoor village pool and tennis courts. A short drive away there are castles and chateaux to visit and lots of pretty Bastide towns to wander round with open air cafes to relax and enjoy a leisurely coffee or glass of the local wine. The area is steeped in history there a many historic towns and villages to visit, Rocamador, St Cirq La Popie Dom Sarlat and many others. The area is favoured for its walking in the hills and vineyards, bicycles can be hired to meander through the villages and vineyards.
