Art Gallery Guesthouse - Thandekayo

The Art Gallery Guesthouse is located on the slopes of the 12th Apostle, overlooking the picturesque village of Hout bay, on the Atlantic seaboard of the Western Cape of South Africa.
Offering four star luxury accommodation, bed and breakfast, Thandekayo is ideally situated twenty-minutes from Cape Town central at the start of the garden route in secure and scenic surrounds.

From the balcony one enjoys breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, stretching from the back of Table Mountain to Chapman’s Peak and the bay itself.

Thandekayo meaning “warm welcome” in Zulu boasts five stylish African theme rooms, all en-suite. Owned by Anita and Martin Osner, Martin is one of South Africa’s renowned fine art photographic artists and the guesthouse displays exhibitions of his works as well as of other contemporary South African artists, including renowned landscape photographer and close friend Koos van der Lende.

Hout Bay is one of South Africa 's most popular holiday destinations. Not only does the area offer vistas of dramatic mountain vistas overlooking a tranquil indigo bay, it is also a vibrant colourful seaside village representing the diversity that only South Africa has to offer. In Hout Bay you can expect to; enjoy great cuisine, visit the bustling fishing harbour, go on a guided tour to the local indigenous community, take long walks along the beach, visit the art galleries in town, go horseback riding, take a drive along Chapman's Peak which boasts to be one of the most scenic routes in all the world, visit nearby wine estates, frequent the infamous Cape Town Waterfront, book on a sailing charter, visit table mountain or Robben Island, go on a day trip to Cape point or just soak up the sun relaxing at the side of the pool.
