Gulls Hotel

| The sound of seagulls always reminds people of holiday time and a warm welcome awaits you at The Gulls, a small family-run hotel directly overlooking the sea. We have eight en-suite rooms, the majority of which have either sea or river views. We are in an elevated position overlooking East Looe Beach which gives us unrivalled panoramic and breathtaking views of the sea, beach, harbour and the town.
Built over one hundred years ago on land purchased from His Royal Highness Albert Edward Prince of Wales (the Deeds hang in the dining room) the Gulls Hotel has been in existence for over 50 years. Since then though the Hotel has been kept updated and recently wi-fi broadband internet has been installed which gives free internet access in all areas of the Hotel for our guests' convenience.
We are a ten minute walk away from East Looe town centre where you will find some interesting and unusual shops. You can either stroll along the river footpath and then walk over the bridge into town or take the short ferry crossing over Looe River when the tide is in.

| We have many activities nearby including golf, horse-riding, canoeing, surfing, and swimming. If gardens are your bag then you’re in the right county. Cornwall has many stunning and award-winning gardens for you to visit and admire throughout the year. Why not fish from the end of Banjo Pier opposite the Hotel or, why not take a boat trip round to Polperro on the ‘Smugglers’ cruise and then walk back on the South West Coastal footpath. If you fancy trying your hand at diving then the world renowned Looe Dive Centre will be on hand to provide tuition and advice. If you want the shopping experience then look no further than Plymouth City Centre just 20 miles away with the Drake’s Circus shopping centre opened in 2006 you can be sure of a 21st Century shopping experience. While in Plymouth you could visit the National Marine Aquarium which boasts the largest fish tank in Europe or take in a show at the Theatre Royal. Directions
| Once you reach Looe head over the bridge turning left at the end of the bridge into Quay Road. At St Nicholas Church this road becomes Hannafore Road. Follow this road up the hill until you see the Tom Sawyer pub on your right. Turn right at the pub. Turn first right again into Portuan Road. This is where things get narrow! After about 200 yards you come to a fork in the road, take the right fork. Drive to the end - our parking bay is on the right hand side. Please note this road is not suitable for 4x4's or transit vans. The parking bay is suitable for two normal sized family saloon cars. |
