Le Grand Saule Chambre d'Hote Bed and Breakfast Accommodation can be found in the pretty, historical town of Moncontour on the border of Vienne and Deux Sevres, in the sunny Poitou charentes region of France. The Romantic and tranquil accommodation is set in its own private grounds bordering the River Dive and overlooking the local forest.

The rooms at Le Grand Saule Chambre d'Hote are spacious and elegant with large shuttered windows and huge beamed ceilings. A family room is ensuite and consists of a double bed and a single bed with the possibility of a further single bed or cot. The double room is ensuite with both rolltop bath and separate shower and has a double bed and the possibility of a further single bed. All rooms have satellite tv and drink making facilities and overlook our very beautiful garden.

Things To Do
Moncontour is a pretty historical town in the Vienne with an 11th century donjon and a water sports lake within ten minutes walk. There are also numerous forest and riverside walks and good fishing. The town has all necessary ameneties including bar/pizzeria, boulangerie, supermarket, bank, restaurant, hairdressers and post office. We are just 45 minutes from Poitiers and the famous Futuroscope themepark and less than an hours drive from the famous Loire chateaux. The area is famous for walking, fishing, cycling, golf, vineyards, melons, sunflowers and there are two aerodromes within 30 minutes drive.
