Burghead Cottage

Burghead Cottage Self Catering Accommodation.

With a large living /dining area as well as a separate lounge, a king size double and a twin room, four people can easily feel at home here. We can also provide a cot or an extra camp bed for those with young families. The enclosed garden means the cottage is also ideal for those with well behaved dogs.

The cottage is equipped with all mod cons having been totally refurbished in 2008, and we provide all the linen and towels you may need. We also provide a welcome pack in case you don't have time to buy all your groceries before you get to us.

There are many fine golf courses within an hour’s drive. This is the Region where green fees are among the most affordable in the land. There are also short par 3 courses for beginners or children.

Follow the world-famous Malt Whisky Trail through Speyside to seven working distilleries.

Castle lovers are also well catered for. Brodie, Cawdor and Ballindalloch castles are amongst the most romatic lived in castles, whilst it is hard to beat the ruins of Duffus, Spynie Palace, Huntly castle or even Urquhart castle on the shores of Loch Ness.

The county town of Elgin has plenty of shops, including the whisky specialist Gordon & MacPhails, Johnstons Cashmere Visitor Centre and shop and two 24 hour supermarkets, a great leisure centre with pool and ice skating, a 10 pin bowling centre and the beautiful ruins of Elgin cathedral, once only second to St Andrews in importance.
